Definition of "Recognized Higher Education Institution"

Article 99 of the Political Constitution of the Republic of Panama establishes that only academic and professional degrees granted or authorized by the State in accordance with the law will be recognized.

The national universities are authorized to approve the plans and programs of study offered by the private universities, which they will carry out through the Technical Oversight Commission.
The universities in Panama offer degree programs that include undergraduate degrees, technical degrees, professorships, specializations, Master’s degrees and Doctoral degrees.

      7. Cross-border higher education
